Mumbai-headquartered CleanMax Solar is India’s largest provider of on-site solar power. The journey began in the year 2011 and since then, the company has successfully delivered more than 250 solar rooftop projects, with a combined capacity of 100 MWp. This makes CleanMax Solar the #1 rooftop solar developer in India, with a market share of 24% as indicated by Bridge to India Report in 2017, more than twice the size of its nearest competitor.

As one of the renowned rooftop solar companies in India, CleanMax develops projects on a turnkey basis, delivering solar power supply on a per-kWh basis, under long-term Power Purchase Agreements, at rates cheaper than grid tariffs. We are currently building a network of solar farms in India, and under open access farm policy we own and operate in Tamil Nadu a 30 MW Solar farm, and in Karnataka, we have 60 MW operational Solar farm while another 200 MW is under construction.

Managing Director
Kuldeep Jain is the Managing Director of CleanMax Solar. He was previously a global partner at McKinsey & Company and headed Energy and Corporate Finance for McKinsey & Company in India. He has an MBA from IIM- Ahmedabad and also holds Chartered Accountant (CA) and Cost Accountant degrees from ICAI and ICWA respectively.
Head of Business Development (South India)
Andrew Hines is the Head of Business Development in South India for CleanMax Solar. He was previously working with Suzlon and BP Alternative Energy. Andrew holds an MBA from the University of Pennsylvania (The Wharton School) specialising in Strategic Management.
Head of Business Development (West India)
Sushant Arora is the Head of Business Development for West India for CleanMax Solar. He was previously working with Milestone Ecofirst, a clean-tech firm specialising in built environment solutions. Sushant has a Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering from IIT Bombay.
Chief Operating Officer
Umakant Shende is the Chief Operating Officer of CleanMax Solar. He was previously with Thermax Ltd. and was heading Solar PV business. He has 26+ years rich experience in Operations Management. He is PMP certified by PMI USA. He has completed an Executive MBA from NMIMS.
Head - Finance
Nikunj manages Finance & Solar Farm Development at CleanMax Solar. He is responsible for project investment, solar farm development and financing activities. Prior to joining CleanMax Solar, Nikunj was responsible for renewable energy advisory at the Investment Banking division of YES Bank. At the beginning of his career, Nikunj successfully built an investment advisory business. He is a PGDBA, M.S. (Finance) and level III CFA candidate.
Head of Procurement
Ritesh Singhi is the Head of Procurement at CleanMax Solar. He started his professional journey with Lloyds Steel Industries Ltd. in 1995, and has subsequently worked with Hidustan Dorr Oliver, Reliance Industries, Essar Steel, Great Offshore, and Mahindra EPC Services. Ritesh is a B.E (Mechanical) from Government Engineering College, Kota (1990-95) with additional qualification in Material Management from Annamalai University (PGDMM) and Diploma in export-import Management (DIEIM) from Welingkar Institute of Management, Mumbai.
Chief Technology Officer
Rahul Shelke is Chief Technology Officer (CTO) at CleanMax Solar. Prior to Joining CleanMax Solar, he was head of Engineering for Solairedirect India. Rahul has 13 years of experience in design & engineering of solar PV, thermal, oil & gas and substations. He has done his BE in Electronics and Power Engineering from GCOE, Amravati (M.S).
Senior Vice President - Finance
Nitai Vijay is Senior Vice President for finance at CleanMax Solar. Nitai is leading efforts to secure international equity and debt funding for company's growth plans and also looks after institutional investor sell down function for utility scale projects. Nitai began his career at KPMG where he managed large statutory audits, USGAAP reporting and advisory services for buyout transactions in the consumer space. He has an MBA from Indian School of Business, Hyderabad and is a Certified Chartered Accountant from ICAI.
Vice President of Business Development
Manu Karan is the Vice President of Business Development for new business initiatives. He has over 12 years experience in renewable energy and semiconductor fields across multiple countries. Prior to CleanMax Solar, Manu worked with SunEdison as Head of Business Development for Tamil Nadu and Distributed Generation India for 5 years. He has an MBA from the Indian School of Business, and an MS in Computer Engineering from North Carolina State University.
Chief Executive Officer
Mr. Gajanan is Chief Executive Officer (CEO) at CleanMax. Gajanan joins us from Praj Industries Ltd, where he was CEO and Managing Director. Prior to Praj Industries he held a variety of roles and has 22 years’ multi-functional management experience. He holds Master’s degree in Organic Chemistry and Master in Management from Mumbai University. He has completed the Executive development program of Wharton Management School in the year 2000.
Head​ ​- Solar Farms
Mr. Tejus A V is the Head of Solar Farms at CleanMax. Tejus joins us from Atria Power, where he was Sr. Vice President for Solar and Wind verticles. He worked with GE for more than 10 years and has overall 15 years of multi-disciplinary management experience. He holds Bachelors degree from RVCE Bangalore, Diploma Degree in Renewable Energy from Teri University, Delhi and Diploma in Business Administration from Symbiosis Pune.
